Tandem/HP NonStop (ATM Applications)

Summary: The role of Tandem/HP NonStop Developer focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining ATM applications on HP Nonstop/Tandem platforms. The position requires extensive experience with transaction processing systems and various programming languages. The developer will collaborate with multiple teams to enhance ATM transaction flows and troubleshoot production issues. This is a fully remote position for a contract duration of 6 to 12 months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, modify, and maintain applications on HP Nonstop/Tandem platforms with a focus on ATM and card processing systems.
• Develop and optimize code using TAL, TACL, SCOBOL, COBOL, C/C++, or related Tandem technologies.
• Support and enhance ATM transaction flows, message formats (NDC/DDC/ISO 8583), and communication interfaces.
• Troubleshoot production issues related to ATM processing and provide timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA, and operations teams to gather requirements and implement changes.
• Conduct system analysis, performance tuning, and overall application optimization.
• Participate in code reviews, testing cycles, and deployment activities.
• Prepare technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer when necessary.

Key Skills:

• 5+ years of experience as a Tandem/HP Nonstop Developer.
• Strong knowledge of ATM applications, ATM drivers, and transaction processing systems.
• Experience working with message protocols such as NDC, DDC, or ISO 8583.
• Proficiency in TAL, TACL, SCOBOL, COBOL, C/C++, Escribe, SQL/MP, and Guardian/OSS utilities.
• Hands-on experience with Pathway, batch processing, and real-time transaction systems.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance-tuning skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment.
