Summary: The Sr. Site Reliability Engineer (Storage Platforms) is responsible for managing enterprise storage and Kubernetes platforms on Linux, requiring extensive experience in storage solutions and migrations. The role demands strong technical skills in Infrastructure-as-Code, scripting, and operating mission-critical environments. Effective communication and documentation abilities are also essential for contributing to community knowledge bases. This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage enterprise storage and Kubernetes platforms on Linux.
- Implement and migrate SDS solutions (Ceph, Longhorn) from legacy systems.
- Handle block, file, and object storage using Fibre Channel and IP-based protocols.
- Operate NVMe-oF or iSCSI fabrics.
- Utilize Kubernetes and Linux systems (Ubuntu, RHEL/CentOS) effectively.
- Apply Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Ansible and Terraform.
- Develop scripts in Python and Bash, with Golang as a plus.
- Integrate Enterprise DNS with Kubernetes.
- Maintain 24x7 mission-critical production environments.
- Work with KVM hypervisors (Suse Harvester, OpenStack).
- Communicate effectively in written and verbal formats.
- Utilize Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
- Write technical documentation and contribute to community wikis or knowledge bases.
- Leverage a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
