Summary: We are looking for an experienced SQL Developer to join a dynamic data and analytics team in a fully remote capacity. The role involves working on complex database systems to support real-time data processing and business intelligence initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance SQL solutions while ensuring data integrity and security. This position is classified as inside IR35 and offers a competitive daily rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
- Work with large, transactional databases and optimize SQL code for performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver robust and maintainable database solutions.
- Support ETL processes and data integration tasks to feed analytics platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, ensuring data integrity, security, and availability.
- Assist in data modelling, schema design, and performance tuning across multiple environments.
- Maintain clear technical documentation and follow best practices for version control and deployment.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience with T-SQL/SQL Server (or similar relational databases).
- Proven ability to write efficient, optimized queries and complex stored procedures.
- Experience with performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization.
- Familiarity with ETL processes, data warehousing, or reporting tools (eg, SSIS, Power BI, Tableau).
- Comfortable working in agile development teams and collaborative environments.
- Experience with source control (Git, TFS, etc.) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

This temporary contract is inside IR35 and will require working under the direction of the client delivery manager as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate will follow established delivery processes and working practices
