Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Rental Man Support and perform analysis, design, coding, unit testing, and implementation.
- Act as a technical lead for complex applications and initiatives.
- Utilize technology and tools to solve complex problems and improve operations processes.
- Prepare detailed design specifications for program development and documentation.
- Drive completion of all phases of application development.
- Collaborate with department users to innovate and enhance processes.
- Utilize SQLRPGLE on the IBM iSeries AS400 platform for application maintenance.
- Provide expert technical guidance to programming staff during development and testing.
- Analyze business requirements and design applications accordingly.
- Utilize performance tools and source control software on the IBM iSeries AS400 platform.
Key Skills:
- Extensive experience with AS400 Production Support (5+ years).
- Hands-on experience with Rental Man, RPG, RPGLE, CL, CLLE, DB400, SQLRPGLE, and ILE concepts.
- Strong communication skills.
- Agile development knowledge.
- Retail experience (at least 4 years).
- Expertise in IBM Rational Developer for i (RDi).
- Knowledge of Visual Explain and performance tools on IBM iSeries AS400.

Hands-on experience in the following skill set: Rental Man, RPG, RPGLE, CL, CLLE, DB400, SQLRPGLE, ILE Concept.
- Candidate should be aware of all development phases Agile Knowledge Production Support experience Candidate should have strong communication skills Candidate should have at least 4 years of Retail experience
- Acts in the highest-level technical role as an individual contributor and/or team lead for the most complex computer applications and/or application initiatives.
- Utilizes a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs.
- Works on the most complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of intangible variance factors.
- Plans, performs, and acts as the escalation point for the most complex platform designs, coding, and testing. Leads most complex multiple modelling, simulations, and analysis efforts.
- Acts as expert technical resource to programming staff in the program development, testing, and implementation process.
- Analyse business requirements then design, create and maintain applications using SQLRPGLE on IBMiiSeriesAS400 platform.
- Knowledge of Visual Explain and performance tools on IBMiiSeriesAS400 platform.
- Knowledge and use of IBM Rational Developer for i (known as RDi source, debug, etc. tool). Knowledge of source control software (Aldon) on IBMiiSeriesAS400 platform.
- Prepare detailed design specifications from which programs will be written, coded, tested, debugged and documented.
- Utilize technology to solve problems and provide software solutions with varying degrees of complexity. Work directly with department users to innovate and improve operations processes.
