Summary: The SEND Finance Manager role involves leading a finance and operational support team to manage the High Needs Block budget effectively within an Education and Skills service. Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and developing a small, high-performing SEND Finance Team.
  • Overseeing spend, budget forecasting, and financial reporting for the High Needs Block.
  • Authorising and monitoring SEND funding in line with agreed parameters.
  • Streamlining finance processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Providing clear financial insight to senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Managing the Personal Budget process and ensuring accountability and value for money.

  • Experience managing complex budgets within a public sector or education environment.
  • A sound understanding of SEND funding and legislation.

Our client is currently looking to recruit a SEND Finance Manager on an initial 6 month contract, working remotely.

SEND Finance Manager £450 per day inside IR35 Remote

Are you an experienced finance professional who’s passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? We’re looking for a SEND Finance Manager to lead a talented finance and operational support team within a forward-thinking Education and Skills service. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your financial expertise to make a real difference in the lives of children and families.

As SEND Finance Manager, you’ll take the lead on managing and reporting the High Needs Block (HNB) budget, ensuring funding is used effectively and transparently. You’ll provide strategic financial leadership, oversee key SEND funding processes, and support operational teams to deliver services that meet statutory requirements and achieve great outcomes for children and young people.
