Summary: The SAP HCM Lead Consultant role involves leading the design and deployment of SAP HCM solutions within a major digital transformation program in the public sector. This hands-on leadership position requires extensive experience in SAP HCM and automation technologies, with a focus on collaboration across HR, IT, and business teams. The consultant will be responsible for delivering high-quality functional specifications and managing system integrations, testing, and training. Occasional travel to Abu Dhabi is required, and the position is remote from Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of SAP HCM modules including Time Management, Payroll, Personnel Administration, and Employee & Manager Self-Service.
- Deliver high-quality functional specifications and system configurations aligned with business requirements.
- Drive automation use cases such as auto-generation of work schedules, payroll simulation, AI-powered onboarding workflows, and automated document generation.
- Conduct workshops with business stakeholders and gather functional/technical requirements.
- Oversee system integration with third-party tools and ensure seamless interoperability.
- Manage testing, training, and cut-over activities for successful go-lives.
- Ensure data integrity across SAP and connected systems.
- Support the roll out of AI, ML, RPA, and OCR-based enhancements for workflow actor validation, automated compliance tracking, and letter generation.
Key Skills:
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with SAP HCM as a functional consultant or solution lead.
- Strong background in Time Management, Payroll, and Self-Service configurations.
- Proven success delivering automation or AI-enhanced HR processes.
- Experience integrating SAP HCM with external/third-party systems.
