Our client are a global SI and have won a major SAP Finance transformation in the Life Science industry. We need experts with the following experience:

  • ~12-15 years of relevant experience and domain experience
  • At least 3 end-to-end S/4 HANA Finance or CFIN implementations with Group Reporting.
  • Deep functional and solution architecture knowledge of SAP Group Reporting including consolidation units/groups, financial data collection, intercompany matching and elimination, currency translation, ownership management, and consolidation of investments
  • Strong understanding of legacy and modern financial consolidation platforms including SAP BPC, SAP Financial Consolidation (FC), Hyperion FCCS/HFM, OneStream, Tagetik, or similar enterprise consolidation solutions
  • Solid grasp of consolidation accounting concepts: statutory consolidation, management
  • consolidation, intercompany reconciliation, minority interests, equity pick-up, and group-level P&L and B/S reporting

In-depth understanding of:

  • SAP Group Reporting concepts: consolidation units, consolidation groups, financial data collection, ICMR, currency translation, reclassification, consolidation methods, task hierarchies, validation rules, and financial close cockpit automation
  • Migration and coexistence strategy from legacy consolidation tools
  • Strong understanding of Record-to-Report and Group Close operating models including close governance, submission processes, auditability, disclosure requirements, and close acceleration initiatives
  • Understanding of enterprise structure and master data implications on consolidation design including company codes, profit centers, segments, consolidation units, partner dimensions, and chart of accounts for IFRS and local GAAP reporting requirements and their implications for consolidation design
  • Interplay between SAP S/4 HANA with adjacent tools: SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), BW/4HANA, and 3rd party consolidation platforms (BPC, FC, Hyperion, OneStream, Tagetik)
