Summary: The SAP FPSL role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in SAP implementations, particularly in Financial Product Sub Ledger (FPSL) for insurance contracts. The position involves hands-on work with various SAP S/4 modules and requires expertise in data modeling and integration. The role is primarily remote with some travel needed to Minnesota. Candidates should have a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience and a strong understanding of IFRS 17 compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Successfully completed 2-3 end-to-end SAP implementations with extensive experience in FPSL.
  • Expertise in executing all business processes from a single source of truth.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4 FPSL & PaPM.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4 FSRI.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4 FSCD.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4 PSC.
  • Expertise in the integration between the S/4HANA Finance.
  • Experience in data conversion & ETL tools for S/4HANA.
  • Expertise in new innovations in S/4HANA Fiori apps.
  • Experience in IFRS 17 and SAP S/4HANA module FPSL (Financial Product Sub Ledger) for Insurance Contracts.
  • Assess, design, and develop a working SAP FPSL Insurance solution.
  • Exposure know-how with all three measurement types (GMM, PAA, and VFA).
  • SAP FPSL architecture and components like SDL, RDL, CVPM.
  • FPSL process flow: Register, Accrue, Capture (Central GAAP), Unwind and Release, Value TC, Recognize Profit, allocate (Secondary Costs), Move and Transform, Value FX, Classify.
  • Integration with PaPM & FI, architect the data model in PaPM, support integration discussions, guide on standard capabilities in PaPM, and drive design of the business rules.
  • Implemented various functions required for data source integration, data import, and data enrichment.
  • Led PaPM implementation from Blueprint through Go-live and Hypercare.
  • Assisted business users in designing and executing financial and business models.
  • Defined the data model in PaPM, supported integration discussions, guided standard capabilities in PaPM, and drove the design of business rules.
  • Exposure to interfacing with non-SAP systems & mapping user requirements.
  • Prepared and ran demos leveraging SAP PaPM based on relevant use cases.
  • Functional end-to-end process in Allocations, Product Pricing & Costing, Profitability & Cost Management, Predictions & Simulations, Reconciliations.
  • Performed What-If analysis on important business drivers for profitability analysis and decision-making.
  • Expertise in data modeling, building and extending models, allocation/calculation functions, query function, parameters, performing ad-hoc simulations, activity & process-based costing, and top-down distribution.
