Summary: The SAP Data Conversion Analyst is responsible for managing the data conversion life cycle, specifically converting data from legacy systems into SAP. This role involves requirements gathering, documentation, and collaboration with technical teams to ensure data quality and resolution of data issues. The analyst will also support data validation and cleansing efforts while working closely with business users and SAP functional teams. Experience with the 3M Polaris program is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the data conversion life cycle from legacy (non-SAP) systems into SAP.
  • Gather and document requirements and mapping/transformation rules.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to implement solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Identify and resolve data defects in collaboration with business and SAP functional teams.
  • Support data loads and validation through test and production load cycles.
  • Drive data quality through data cleansing efforts in collaboration with business and IT.
  • Analyze data issues and work with developers and process teams to identify root causes.

Must have experience with the data conversion life cycle. Converting data from legacy (non-SAP) systems into SAP
Experience with requirements gathering & documentation
Able to do basic querying and data validation using SQL and Excel
Capable of analyzing data issues with the assigned subject area and work with developers, process teams, and business users to identify the root cause and drive resolution.
Experience with data cleansing: driving data quality in collaboration with business and IT
Experience with 3M Polaris (SAP deployment) program preferred.

Work with client to define the requirements and design the transformation to convert data from legacy (non-SAP) systems into SAP. Document requirements and mapping/transformation rules. Work with the technical team to implement the solution and ensure the solution meets business requirements. Work with business, SAP functional teams, and technical team to identify and resolve data defects. Support data loads and validation of data through test and production load cycles.

Minimal work direction needed, highly skilled and knowledgeable to the position and provides best practicing sharing within work group.
