Summary: The Program Manager - Retirement Products will oversee the integration of retirement capabilities into a mobile banking platform, focusing on IRA onboarding, tax integration, and collaboration with third-party partners. This role requires extensive experience in program management and a strong understanding of retirement products. The position is contract-based and remote, lasting for 18 months. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams to ensure effective delivery and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end integration of retirement products (IRA, 401k, brokerage accounts) into the Spruce platform
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, Tax, Compliance, Legal, and Marketing
  • Manage third-party vendor integrations including APIs, onboarding flows, and data exchange
  • Drive program planning, execution, and tax-season readiness initiatives
  • Oversee customer journey alignment across onboarding, contributions, and engagement features
  • Identify and manage risks related to compliance, regulatory requirements, and technical integration
  • Provide executive-level status updates and stakeholder communications
  • Support delivery of tax-integrated retirement experiences (e.g., Saver's Match, tax-time contributions)

Key Skills:

  • 5+ years of Program/Project Management experience
  • Strong experience coordinating cross-functional and cross-squad programs (not squad-level management)
  • Proven experience in retirement or financial products (IRA, 401k, investment platforms)
  • Strong third-party/vendor integration experience (APIs, platform integrations)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with Agile or hybrid delivery environments (Jira, Asana, MS Project)
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver complex programs
