Summary: The Program Director US GAAP is tasked with leading large-scale finance transformation initiatives that comply with US GAAP accounting standards. This role requires strategic leadership across various teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance. The director will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to implement complex financial systems and processes. The position is remote and involves managing significant program budgets and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end US GAAP transformation programs, including financial reporting, accounting policy implementation, and system modernization
  • Drive program strategy, roadmap, and execution aligned with organizational and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with Finance leadership (Controller, CFO organization) to ensure adherence to US GAAP standards and reporting requirements
  • Oversee implementation of finance platforms (SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Financials, Workday Finance, etc.)
  • Manage multi-million-dollar program budgets, timelines, risks, and dependencies
  • Establish governance frameworks, including steering committees, reporting cadence, and escalation processes
  • Ensure compliance with SOX controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards
  • Lead cross-functional teams across Finance, IT, Data, and Operations
  • Drive financial close transformation, reconciliation, consolidation, and reporting improvements
  • Oversee data migration, data quality, and financial data integrity initiatives
  • Manage vendor relationships, system integrators, and third-party partners
  • Provide regular executive-level updates and program reporting

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 15+ years of experience in finance transformation, program management, or enterprise initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting processes (close, consolidation, statutory reporting)
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale programs in finance transformation
  • Proven experience in ERP implementation (SAP, Oracle, Workday)
  • Experience with SOX compliance, audit readiness, and internal controls frameworks
  • Strong leadership experience managing global teams and large portfolios

Role Description:

The Program Director US GAAP is responsible for leading large-scale finance transformation programs aligned with US GAAP accounting standards. This role provides strategic leadership across cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and successful implementation of accounting and reporting systems.
