Summary: We are seeking an experienced OpenShift Engineer with a strong background in the banking domain to develop, deploy, and manage cloud-native applications. The role involves designing scalable solutions, maintaining OpenShift clusters, and enabling DevOps practices across enterprise platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in OpenShift/Kubernetes and a solid understanding of the banking/financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop high-quality, scalable, and testable applications in a cloud-native environment
- Manage and maintain Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) clusters and containerized microservices
- Lead installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of AMQ Kafka Operator
- Implement and manage API Gateway for routing traffic across microservices
- Convert monolithic applications into microservices architecture
- Perform OpenShift cluster upgrades, migrations, and node management (machine sets, autoscalers, config pools)
- Configure infrastructure components such as Quay, Consul, SSO, Service Mesh, and Ingress Controllers
- Integrate monitoring tools like Dynatrace for performance and resource utilization
- Handle ServiceNow tickets (REQ/RITM) and support DevOps pipelines for continuous deployments
- Perform Linux troubleshooting for containerized applications and resolve issues in Dockerfiles and YAML configurations
- Develop and maintain Ansible scripts for automation and cluster management
- Implement security best practices, including OAuth, OAM, and LDAP integration
- Support OpenShift deployments on AWS and Azure (ARO, ROSA)
- Collaborate with F5 Load Balancer teams for VIPs, certificates, and routing
- Manage VMware environments using vCenter for infrastructure setup
- Coordinate with vendors like AWS and Red Hat to ensure delivery as per architecture and operating model
Key Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in OpenShift/Kubernetes platform engineering
- Mandatory experience in the Banking/Financial Services domain
- Strong expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and Microservices Architecture
