Summary: The Network Engineer role focuses on managing Check Point Firewall upgrades, migrations, and testing, alongside documentation and troubleshooting Cisco networking issues. The position requires hands-on experience with Check Point NGFW and its components, particularly in high-availability environments. Candidates should also be familiar with Check Point Maestro and the RMA process. This role is remote and classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on Checkpoint Firewall evergreen upgrade, migration, and firewall testing
- Documentation using Jira and Confluence
- Troubleshoot Cisco networking issues, including switches and routing
- Manage Checkpoint Maestro upgrades and migrations from NGFW to Security Group with VSX
- Implement and design network solutions as needed
Key Skills:
- Check Point engineering experience
- Experience with Check Point NGFW and various software blades
- Familiarity with R81.20 Check Point Scalable Platform and VSX deployments
- Understanding of Check Point basic architecture and components
