Summary: The role of Navision 2016 Engineer involves maintaining, customizing, and optimizing Microsoft Dynamics NAV 9 (Nav 2016) for clients. This hands-on technical position requires collaboration with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions. The engineer will also provide support and participate in upgrade planning while ensuring the NAV 9 environment remains operational. The position is remote with an initial onsite requirement for the first two weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance solutions within Microsoft Dynamics NAV 9.
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Customise C/AL code, forms, reports, and data structures within NAV 9.
- Integrate NAV with other internal systems and external applications.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for NAV 9 users.
- Participate in upgrade planning and data migration projects (while keeping NAV 9 operational).
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a NAV Developer specifically on NAV 9 / NAV 2016.
- Strong proficiency in C/AL development.
- Familiarity with classic NAV architecture, data schema, and native client environment.
- Understanding of SQL Server, data management, and performance tuning.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
