Summary: The Medical Nutrition Manager will serve as a senior scientific and regulatory authority within the Market Engagement team, focusing on the intersection of medical nutrition science, regulation, and market engagement. This role involves ensuring that product communications and campaigns are scientifically robust and compliant while supporting product innovation and engagement with healthcare professionals and regulatory bodies. The position is fully remote and is a maternity cover for 12 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the internal expert on medical nutrition science, FSMP regulations, and Medical Affairs.
  • Translate clinical evidence into compelling, compliant value propositions.
  • Support product innovation, claims substantiation, and scientific dossiers.
  • Partner with Marketing, Commercial, and Market Access teams to deliver credible, compliant campaigns.
  • Support KOL engagement, NHS/private sector relationships, and ACBS positioning.
  • Deliver medical education (webinars, CPD, conferences, internal training).
  • Review and approve packaging artwork, labelling, and patient materials (FSMP, FIC, MHRA).
  • Ensure accuracy of nutritional data, claims, allergens, and mandatory statements.
  • Act as medical/regulatory signatory within QMS systems (e.g. Esko, Veeva).
  • Interpret and communicate clinical studies and product evaluations.
  • Support publications, abstracts, white papers, and health-economic data.
  • Contribute to formulary submissions and tender documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with ABPI, PAGB, EFSA, MHRA codes and internal SOPs.
  • Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and B-Corp objectives.
  • Collaborate across QA, Supply Chain, Product Development, PR, ESG and Commercial teams.

Key Skills:

  • Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or Life Sciences (postgraduate desirable).
  • HCPC registration or equivalent.
  • 5+ years’ experience in medical nutrition / FSMP / healthcare.
  • 3+ years’ experience across Medical Affairs, Regulatory Compliance, packaging sign-off, and cross-functional market engagement.
  • Strong knowledge of ONS products, FSMP regulations, ACBS processes, and NHS procurement.
  • Experience translating science into effective, compliant marketing and education.
  • Confidence presenting at conferences and engaging senior stakeholders.
  • Commercial acumen, supplier management experience, and ESG awareness.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 (including Teams).
  • Team player with a proactive, “can-do” attitude.
  • Confident working independently in a remote environment.

About the Role

As Medical Nutrition Manager – Market Engagement (MNM-ME) , you’ll be a senior scientific and regulatory authority within our Market Engagement team. You’ll ensure all product communications, packaging, and campaigns are scientifically robust, fully compliant, and strategically aligned with business objectives. This role blends Medical Affairs, Regulatory Compliance, and Commercial Engagement , supporting product innovation, brand integrity, formulary access, and meaningful engagement with HCPs, KOLs, NHS stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
