FreeCAD BIM Engineer – IFC Workflows | Remote

Summary: The FreeCAD Expert role focuses on leading parametric modeling projects using FreeCAD, with an emphasis on BIM and IFC workflows. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead full parametric modeling projects in FreeCAD from concept to production-ready deliverables.
• Utilize BIM and IFC workflows to coordinate and document building models.
• Import, export, and validate IFC data to ensure interoperability across platforms.
• Develop and manage parametric sketches, model trees, and building components.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation and model exports such as STEP, STL, DXF, and IFC.
• Articulate modeling strategies and BIM structuring decisions in written and verbal formats.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document workflows and support AI training objectives.

Key Skills:

• Strong experience with FreeCAD and complex parametric 3D CAD projects.
• Advanced knowledge of BIM methodologies and IFC standards.
• Hands-on experience with building modeling, data structuring, and interoperability workflows.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, CAM, and other 3D CAD tools.
