Summary: The Enterprise Architect role focuses on leveraging Salesforce and MuleSoft platforms to design and implement scalable technical architectures that meet business requirements. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure effective integration and data management while optimizing system performance. The architect will also provide leadership and mentorship to team members and serve as a trusted advisor to senior management. This is a remote position for the Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) with a duration of 8 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Salesforce and MuleSoft platforms, leading the development and maintenance of technical architecture.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, creating detailed technical specifications and architectural diagrams.
- Architect and implement integrations between Salesforce, MuleSoft, SQL Server, and other systems, ensuring data security and compliance.
- Monitor system performance, identifying opportunities for optimization and enhancements.
- Mentor architecture team members and guide technical leads on best practices and industry trends.

Responsibilities:
- Salesforce and MuleSoft Expertise:
Serve as the subject matter expert for the Salesforce platform, staying updated on the latest features, best practices, and industry trends.
Serve as the integration expert utilizing the MuleSoft platform, understand API architecture, best practices, and expertise.
Lead the development and maintenance of the overall technical architecture for new development utilizing the Salesforce and MuleSoft platforms.
Design scalable and efficient solutions that align with business requirements and long-term strategic goals.
- Solution Design and Development:
Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts, developers, project managers, and development managers, to gather and analyze requirements.
Create detailed technical specifications, architectural diagrams, and solution documentation.
Oversee the development and implementation of application and systems architecture utilizing Salesforce and MuleSoft solutions, ensuring code quality, scalability, and security.
- Integration and Data Management:
Architect and implement robust integrations between Salesforce, MuleSoft, SQL Server, and other systems within the organization.
Architect data migration solutions from SQL Server to our state data lake, including transformation and governance strategies.
Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Performance Optimization:
Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for optimization and enhancements.
Implement best practices to maintain and improve system performance, stability, and reliability.
- Leadership and Coaching:
Mentor other members of the architecture team, fostering skill development and growth.
Guide technical leads from other teams on best practices and industry trends.
Provide technical leadership and serve as a trusted advisor to senior management.
