Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CICS system administration, performance tuning, and problem determination across multiple regions.
- Utilize SMP/E for software upgrades, maintenance, and patch management.
- Configure and manage CICSPlex SM environments including dynamic transaction routing and workload management.
- Monitor and analyze CICS SMF records using CICS Performance Analyzer and related tools.
- Define, maintain, and optimize CICS resource definitions to ensure system stability and performance.
- Work with application developers to support COBOL-based applications.
- Utilize Mainframe WebSphere MQ for message processing and integration.
- Conduct dump analysis and advanced troubleshooting for CICS and related z/OS components.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across teams.
Key Skills:
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on CICS experience (15+ years overall IT experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of CICS parameters, CICSPlex SM, and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in SMP/E, CICS Performance Analyzer, and Sysview for CICS.
- Familiarity with COBOL and WebSphere MQ on the mainframe.
- Solid understanding of CICS SMF record structure, region optimization, and resource management.
