Summary: The role of AWS + Cloud Architecture requires a highly experienced candidate with over 15 years in the field. The position focuses on leading the migration of enterprise applications to AWS, designing cloud architectures, and implementing various AWS services. The candidate will also guide development teams and ensure compliance with security best practices. This is a contract position based remotely in the USA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end migration of enterprise applications from on-prem to AWS cloud.
- Design and implement AWS architectures including VPC, IAM, EKS, MSK, and networking.
- Implement Dynatrace for observability in AWS EKS clusters.
- Guide development teams in building Java and Node.js containerized microservices using Kubernetes.
- Deploy and configure Grafana and Prometheus for monitoring and alerting.
- Architect Event-Driven solutions using Kafka/MSK for real-time data streaming.
- Provision end-to-end infrastructure using Terraform in AWS.
- Create and manage Helm charts for Kubernetes deployments.
- Integrate Venafi and AWS Certificate Manager for certificate lifecycle management.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for automated deployments.
- Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities across applications and infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with cloud security best practices and governance standards.
- Must be legally authorized to work in US without need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future.
Key Skills:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional (or equivalent experience).
- Proven expertise in enterprise-scale on-prem to AWS migration.
