AWS + Cloud Architecture

Summary: The AWS + Cloud Architecture role involves leading the migration of enterprise applications to AWS cloud, designing and implementing AWS architectures, and guiding development teams in building containerized microservices. The position requires extensive experience with AWS services, observability tools, and CI/CD pipelines, along with a strong focus on security and compliance. Candidates must be independent contractors legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship. This is a remote contract position aimed at experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end migration of enterprise applications from on-prem to AWS cloud.
• Design and implement AWS architectures including VPC, IAM, EKS, MSK, and networking.
• Implement Dynatrace for observability in AWS EKS clusters.
• Guide development teams in building Java and Node.js containerized microservices using Kubernetes.
• Deploy and configure Grafana and Prometheus for monitoring and alerting.
• Architect Event-Driven solutions using Kafka/MSK for real-time data streaming.
• Provision end-to-end infrastructure using Terraform in AWS.
• Create and manage Helm charts for Kubernetes deployments.
• Integrate Venafi and AWS Certificate Manager for certificate lifecycle management.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for automated deployments.
• Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities across applications and infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with cloud security best practices and governance standards.
• Must be legally authorized to work in US without need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future.

Key Skills:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional (or equivalent experience).
• Proven expertise in enterprise-scale on-prem to AWS migration.
• Strong knowledge of AWS EKS, MSK, and container orchestration.
• Hands-on experience with Dynatrace, Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Proficiency in Java and Node.js microservices development and deployment.
• Advanced skills in Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Experience with Helm charts for Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Venafi and AWS Certificate Manager for certificate management.
