Summary: The Applications Architect 3 role involves extensive experience in the Texas public sector, particularly in supporting state government agencies and CPA application systems. Candidates are expected to have a strong technical background, including project management and IT security practices, along with the ability to create strategic roadmaps and conduct executive-level presentations. The position is primarily remote but can also be based in Austin, Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Texas state government agencies with extensive public sector experience.
- Perform technical activities in support of CPA application systems.
- Create and manage strategic roadmaps combining planning skills and technical insight.
- Prepare materials for and conduct executive-level presentations.
- Manage technical project activities for CPA's CAPPS program.
- Interpret contractual language and integrate it into workflows.
- Ensure accountability of vendors to contractual requirements.
- Oversee data integration, quality, and SDLC processes.
- Implement IT security and control practices.
- Utilize technical experience with PeopleSoft FSCM or HCM 9.2 and related technologies.
- Provide technical support for CAPPS Central production and deployment.
- Manage IT service desk functions and apply ITIL methodologies.
- Oversee user role segregation of duties in multi-tenant applications.
- Manage outsourced technical teams and oversee Managed Services providers.
- Apply industry best practices for software and hardware management.
- Support CPA's legacy Statewide Financial Systems production activities.
- Develop technical specifications for IT procurements.
