Summary: The Radio Frequency Engineer role involves formal design verification of test environments for radio performance across multiple cities. The engineer will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing calculations for RF components, as well as collaborating with suppliers to optimize performance. This position requires a strong background in electrical engineering and experience with RF instruments. The role is contract-based and situated in Stockholm, Sweden.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on formal design verification of test environments for radio performance verification of multi-city radio.
- Plan, develop and implement calculations for RF components and the entire test environment.
- Formally document requirement specifications for components and test environment.
- Collaborate with suppliers to optimize component performance.
- Troubleshoot and improve the laboratory environment for design and performance verification.
- Contribute to the overall goal achievement within the Radio Verification team.
Key Skills:
- A background in electrical engineering or a related engineering field.
- Preferably advanced courses in wireless communication, RF/microwave technology, communication systems.
- Preferably familiar with RF components such as amplifiers, filters, directional couplers, etc.
- Preferably have experience with RF instruments such as signal generators and spectrum analyzers.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of communication theory.
- Understanding of wireless systems and technology.
- Experience in troubleshooting and working in a lab environment.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows/Office and Linux.
- Basic networking skills.
- Excellent oral and written English skills.
