Summary: The Quality Inspector – Rail role involves conducting inspections in the rail and transport sector, focusing on goods inward and First Article Inspections. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct goods inward and First Article Inspections at supplier premises.
  • Execute in-house production and assembly inspections.
  • Implement inspection points to maintain quality while minimizing production disruption.
  • Populate company systems with inspection data.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to resolve technical concerns.
  • Drive continuous improvement in quality and customer experience.

Key Skills:

  • Mechanical, electrical or electronic engineering background with HNC qualification or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in railway wheels and wheelsets inspection and production.
  • Extensive goods inward and First Article Inspection experience.
  • Strong knowledge of BS Standards and RSSB Railway Wheels Standard GMRT2466.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standard.
  • Experience implementing inspection points into production processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel and SAP systems.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills.
  • ISO 9001 certified auditor qualification (desirable).
  • Experience of ISO 9001 auditing in production processes (desirable).

Salary (Rate): £52.53/hour

Ceto Talent is recruiting a Quality Inspector – Rail for a contract position with one of our valued clients in the rail and transport sector. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality and inspection professional.

Quality Inspector – Rail Requirements
To be successful as a Quality Inspector – Rail, you will have:

  • Mechanical, electrical or electronic engineering background with HNC qualification or equivalent
  • Proven experience in railway wheels and wheelsets inspection and production
  • Extensive goods inward and First Article Inspection experience
  • Strong knowledge of BS Standards and RSSB Railway Wheels Standard GMRT2466
  • Demonstrable knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standard
  • Experience implementing inspection points into production processes
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel and SAP systems
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills
