Summary: Join a leading global financial markets infrastructure and data provider as a QA Engineer in a critical role focused on transforming core application and data engineering components. This position involves designing, executing, and maintaining both manual and automated test cases while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The role is office-based in London and is offered on a 6-month contract basis. The position is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases covering functional, regression, and integration scenarios.
- Validate financial calculations, transaction flows, compliance logic, and reporting across multiple systems.
- Perform end-to-end data validation across ETL pipelines, databases, and reporting layers.
- Conduct performance and load testing using appropriate tools.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and QA documentation.
- Log, track, and triage defects, ensuring timely resolution.
- Collaborate with product owners, analysts, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into test scenarios.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (GDPR, SOX, etc.) in QA processes.
Key Skills:
- Proficient in manual and automated QA practices.
- Strong understanding of transaction flows, reporting, and compliance logic.
- Experience with test automation tools, performance/load testing, and defect management.
- Skilled in SQL for validating data across databases, ETL pipelines, and reporting layers.
