Summary: Seeking an experienced Contract Project Manager to lead and deliver multiple multi-discipline engineering projects within a design office environment. This hybrid role is based in Manchester, requiring a strong on-site presence for four days a week. The position involves managing the full project life cycle and coordinating cross-functional engineering teams to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full project life cycle from concept through to commissioning and handover.
  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to specification.
  • Coordinate cross-functional engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, process, civil/structural).
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and cost controls.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and quality procedures.

Key Skills:

  • Proven track record managing multi-discipline engineering projects within a design office environment.
  • Strong project planning and control skills, including use of project management tools.
  • Experience delivering projects in one or more of the following sectors: Brewery/Distilling, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Oil & Gas.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Mechanical engineering background.
  • Familiarity with process plant environments and associated safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience working with EPCM or consultancy-style project delivery models.
