Summary: The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of a marine civil engineering project for a leading national contractor. Responsibilities include planning, executing, and monitoring project works while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in marine projects and a strong understanding of temporary works. This position is outside IR35 and includes accommodation provision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the planning and execution of marine civil engineering works, ensuring delivery to programme and specification.
- Prepare and review RAMS, ITPs, and technical documentation.
- Provide engineering support to site teams.
- Liaise with the client, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Monitor and manage temporary works in line with design and safety requirements.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Skills:
- Experience working on marine projects and/or heavy civils (e.g. sheet piling, quay walls, coastal works).
- Strong understanding of temporary works and marine safety procedures.
- Proficient in setting out and interpreting technical drawings.
- CSCS Card and SMSTS.
