Summary: The role of Project Electrical Engineer involves executing remedial works following site audits at the Leicester site, collaborating with in-house teams and contractors. The engineer will lead maintenance activities, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and manage project planning and administration. A strong background in electrical engineering, particularly with PLCs and controls, is essential for this position. The contract is for six months and is classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement the MESS strategy for Leicester Site to achieve the 40% reduction target and put best practices in place.
- Take the lead for site during the MESS Assessments across the Leicester site.
- Ownership and execution of the remediation action plan, working with the ML's and planners to execute the work.
- Carry out maintenance activities in accordance with detailed safety precautions and procedures.
- Comply to all regulatory and mandatory standards and ensuring conformance to local PepsiCo standards.
- Ensuring compliance to the work order management and inventory standards and procedures.
- Accurate data quality including work order type, maintenance activity type, equipment selection and malfunction data.
- Adherence to maintenance instructions when performing maintenance activity during scheduled intervention.
- Ensuring that there is a feedback loop to change and amend maintenance instructions as part of PDCA, continuous improvement or outputs from root cause analysis.
- Ability to develop maintenance instructions with version control and differentiating maintenance activity types.
Key Skills:
- Advanced Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship.
- Recognised Electrical / Mechanical academic qualification.
- Advanced Electro-Mechanical aptitude.
- Electrical Testing & Inspecting - City & Guilds 2391 holder would be an advantage.
- IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) qualification is desirable.
- Understanding of SCADA control systems, computer systems, networking.
- Working knowledge of PLC systems - Allen Bradley and/or Siemens an advantage.
- Working knowledge of CMMS and SCADA systems and associated applications.
- Good manufacturing practices.
- Advanced Technical knowledge of Equipment and standards.

Outside IR35 6 Month contract.
We are looking for a qualified industrial electrical engineer who is able to execute remedial works following a site audit, working together with both our inhouse teams and contractors to ensure all remedial works are completed, with knowledge of PLC’s, controls, safety circuits, guarding etc and able to manage our staff / other contractors and do a fair bit of admin / project Planning / validation / and be hands on when needed.
