Summary: The Process Safety Engineer role involves leading safety strategies for a major international refining and petrochemical project in Reading. Key Responsibilities:

Process Safety Engineer (12-month Contract, Inside IR35)Belcan Workforce Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Process Safety Engineer to support a major international refining and petrochemical development project, based in Reading. This is a significant long-term programme involving large-scale downstream, petrochemical and upgrading facilities, offering the opportunity to influence safety strategy on one of the most complex energy projects in the sector.
As the Process Safety Engineer, you will take a leading role in shaping safe, compliant, and cost-efficient design across pre-FEED and FEED stages. You'll engage with multidisciplinary engineering teams, review contractor deliverables, and drive key safety studies including HAZOP, PHA, QRA and consequence modelling. Your expertise will help guide technical decisions, strengthen engineering standards, and ensure project safety philosophies are consistently applied.
