Summary: The Principal Planner role involves managing complex large-scale developments on behalf of a Local Authority for a 6-month contract, with potential for extension. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage complex large-scale developments and sign off delegated reports.
- Demonstrate at least 5 years of experience in development management.
- Understand current issues affecting planning, regeneration, and local government in London.
- Comprehend central government and development plan policy issues.
- Maintain knowledge of planning legislation and related local government legislation.
- Exhibit political awareness and understanding of local government operations.
Key Skills:
- RTPI accredited postgraduate degree.
- Eligible for Membership of RTPI or RICS (Planning and Development).
- Evidence of relevant Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Management training (desirable).
- Proven track record in development management.
