Summary: The role of Power BI and Azure Data Consultant involves delivering an automated reporting solution to replace manual Excel reports, enhancing real-time visibility of workforce and operational metrics. The consultant will build an Azure SQL Database, develop Azure Data Factory pipelines, and create a Power BI dashboard tailored for performance tracking. Key Responsibilities:

  • Building a new Azure SQL Database to host curated data.
  • Developing/Configuring Azure Data Factory pipelines to extract and transform data from the Sona rostering application via API.
  • Designing an optimised data model for reporting and analysis.
  • Developing a Power BI dashboard with clear visibility of contracted, worked, and agency hours, performance tracking against reduction targets, and divisional and home-level drill-down capability.
  • Implementing role-based access controls (RLS) for senior leaders, divisional managers, and home managers.
  • Setting up automated data refreshes to keep reports up to date.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience with Power BI, Azure Data Factory, and Azure SQL Database.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling and API-based data integration.
  • Experience implementing role-based security (RLS) in Power BI.

We're looking for an experienced Power BI and Azure Data Consultant to deliver an end-to-end reporting solution for one of our customers. The goal is to replace manual Excel-based reports with a modern, automated analytics platform that provides Real Time visibility of workforce and operational metrics across their sites.

The Role:

  • Building a new Azure SQL Database to host curated data.

  • Developing/Configuring Azure Data Factory pipelines to extract and transform data from the Sona rostering application via API.

  • Designing an optimised data model for reporting and analysis.

  • Developing a Power BI dashboard with:

    • Clear visibility of contracted, worked, and agency hours.
