Platform Integration Engineer

Summary: The Platform Integration Engineer role involves leading the integration of secure and resilient Communications Information Systems (CIS) within a key UK defence programme. The position requires expertise in C4i systems and focuses on extending the operational life of existing systems through integration and enhancement efforts. The role is hybrid, based in Andover, and emphasizes collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of capabilities. Candidates must possess strong technical skills and experience in defence or secure communications environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical integration capabilities into existing and future CIS platforms.
• Manage and coordinate platform and system integration activities across multiple stakeholders and suppliers.
• Provide C4i systems expertise to ensure secure, resilient, and interoperable capability delivery.
• Identify and resolve obsolescence issues, reducing operational and security risks.
• Develop and maintain the technical roadmap to support transition from legacy BCIP to next-gen CIS solutions.
• Work closely with engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, and project management teams.
• Support testing, validation, and assurance activities across the system lifecycle.

Key Skills:

• Proven experience in platform integration roles within defence or secure communications programmes.
• Strong background in C4i systems, tactical CIS, or military-grade networking.
• Demonstrable experience with system sustainment and obsolescence management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-discipline collaboration skills.
• Experience working within MoD or similar high-assurance environments.
• Ability to produce and maintain technical documentation and integration plans.
