We are seeking an experienced Pathology IT Services Manager to own the operational delivery, performance and continual improvement of pathology technology services within a large healthcare organisation. This is a hands-on role responsible for the availability, security and performance of pathology systems and infrastructure, managing day-to-day operations, supplier governance and service compliance across laboratory, clinical and technical teams. This is a fast-paced environment requiring a robust service leader who can communicate credibly at all levels and drive improvement at pace.

Must have the following:

  • Proven experience managing complex IT services within healthcare, pathology or laboratory environments
  • Hands-on knowledge of LIMS and associated pathology systems (order comms, middleware, interfaces, results reporting)
  • Experience managing third-party suppliers against SLAs/KPIs
  • ITIL service management expertise (incident, problem, change)
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and team leadership skills

Conditions of enga:

Rate: £700/day outside IR35

Timing: Immediate start for 6 months

Location: South (Hybrid)

This is not an advisory role. We are seeking someone who takes complete ownership of service performance with a sleeves-rolled-up approach.
