Summary: The Oracle Database Administrator role involves managing, securing, and optimizing Oracle databases within a high-security public-sector environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Oracle Database
- Manage backup/recovery (RMAN), monitoring, performance tuning, and DR.
- Administer users, roles, auditing, and security hardening.
- Support high-availability setups (RAC/Data Guard).
- Troubleshoot incidents and provide on-call support.
- Strong Oracle DBA experience in secure or regulated environments.
- SQL/PLSQL expertise, Linux skills, and automation/Scripting exposure.
- Experience with RAC, ASM, performance optimisation, and secure configurations.
- Familiarity with public-sector security standards and operational controls.
