Summary: The role of Offshore Structural Engineer involves performing various analyses using SACS software for an initial 3-month contract based in Surrey. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform in-service strength analysis using SACS software.
- Conduct wave-induced spectral fatigue and seismic analysis.
- Analyze transportation strength and fatigue.
- Utilize the nonlinear advanced collapse module of SACS for push over and RSR analysis.
- Execute boat impact and boat landing analysis using SACS collapse module.
- Check and prepare design reports, and provide inputs to the design team.
- Coordinate with other disciplines, clients, and third-party contractors.
- Work with project team members across global offices to meet deadlines and budgets.
Key Skills:
- Degree in Structural Engineering Design.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in structural engineering.
- Proficient in SACS suite of software.
- In-depth knowledge of offshore design codes such as ISO 19901 & API codes.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong technical and practical engineering skills.

OFFSHORE STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS - CONTRACT – SURREY
Your Client is seeking three Offshore Structural Engineers for an initial 3 month contract role that has an immediate start.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Structural Engineering Design
- Minimum experience of 15 years, having excellent technical and practical engineering skills and able to consistently deliver on quality and schedule.
- Proficient user of SACS suite of software a prerequisite.
- In-depth knowledge of the latest revisions of offshore design codes such as ISO 19901 & API codes, is a must.
- Work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks
- Work both independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment
JOB SCOPE:
As an Offshore Structural Engineer, you will report to the lead and be responsible for independently performing the following analysis using SACS software:
- In-service strength
- Wave Induced Spectral Fatigue
- Seismic
- Transportation strength and Fatigue
- Push over and RSR – Nonlinear Advanced Collapse Module of SACS
- Boat Impact & Boat Landing Analysis using SACS Collapse Module
- Mating
- Loadout
- Lift
- Mudmat and on-bottom stability checks
Further, the scope involves preparing/checking design reports, providing inputs to the design team / checking 3D model & drawings etc.
The work will involve liaising with other disciplines, the client and 3rd party contractors and coordinating and working with project team members across global offices to deliver the tasks within allotted timelines and budgets.
DURATION: 3 months initially
LOCATION: The role will be based on 4 days a week in our Client’s Offices in Surrey. Hybrid working may be possible with one day remote.
RATE: £58.00 per hour Ltd co rate If the role is Likely to be outside of IR35 the final decision will only be made after a QDOS assessment.
