Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimizing vessel allocations and managing unforeseen changes to schedules.

Key Skills:

Daily rate £530 Umbrella 2 week on/ 2 week off Local applicants within approx. 2 hours of Grimsby

Experienced in Marine Coordination, over 2 years.

Competent in the use of Supplier Database for Offshore Operations.

Competent with Radio Communications.

GMDSS Familiarity with Maritime Certification.

Description: Marine & Helicopter Coordination is a key support function within the Offshore Operations & Logistics department of Construction, enabling safe operations offshore, safe transit and access to the OWF, assets within the OWF and emergency response during the construction of an OWF. The role includes day and night shift and includes weekend work. There is scope for Additional Ad-Hoc Shifts during main contract period and Ad-Hoc work prior to and following main contract period.

Key Task: Emergency response coordination; acting as the front line person responsible for coordinating the response as well as liaising with relevant parties such as project staff and/or external agencies. Vessel / helicopter traffic control as per agreed coordination protocols, procedures and processes. People, vessel and communications tracking. Manage WTG access restrictions. Ensure that all vessel allocations and unforeseen changes to the daily plan/schedule optimise the efficient use of the vessels available. Operate the offshore management system ensuring; (all offshore personnel have the correct certification & all assets are maintained to the latest status) Liaise with local stakeholders as required. Provide weather forecasting and observation system data, and interpret to provide advice and recommendations to Project and Vessel Masters. Manage relationship on a day-to-day basis with weather data and observation system providers (for example, get problems with data or sources of data resolved). Requirements: Competent in the use of Supplier Database for Offshore Operations. Computer literate. Familiarity with Maritime Certification. Capable of working as part of Team, proactive, working under pressure and engages well with organisation. Experienced in Emergency Response offshore. Personnel Tracking – whereabouts of people always working on asset projects offshore. Marine Traffic Control – access to the OFW according to custody, timing, work scope. Airspace coordination – safe flight operations to, on and from the OWF. Monitoring of weather & marine operations on the OWF Surveillance & vessel avoidance. Liaison & Advisory – Documentation / HSE / Marine Inspection / Helicopter Operators. Statutory Reporting – Pollution / Lighting / Drifting buoys / Vessel Infringement.
