Summary: The Offshore Installation Manager will oversee load-out operations for a leading company in the wind energy sector, focusing on safety and coordination of contractors in Connecticut. This role involves managing the logistics of feeder vessel operations and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. The position requires strong communication skills and experience in marine operations or wind turbine installation. The contract is for an initial duration of 14 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan feeder vessel load-outs and provide lookahead for port operations.
  • Ensure strong focus on HSE at the site by participating in regular operational safety assessments and safety walks (planned and executed with support from HSE Advisors).
  • Coordinate the work of main contractors on site.
  • Supervise load-out operations and issue Daily Progress Reports (DPRs) for the feeder vessel while in port.
  • Perform final walkdown of feeder vessel after completion of load-out.
  • Liaise with the offshore construction team and plan feeder vessel departure and return to port.
  • Monitor progress of contractors regarding WTG component delivery, pre-assembly, and readiness for load-out.
  • Oversee and manage client equipment on barge and stock of spare parts on site.
  • Facilitate MWS and CVA site attendance as required.
  • Reporting duties as needed.
  • Provide engineering support related to load-out, transport, transfer, and installation.
  • Assess weather forecasts and conduct operability reviews.
  • Post-process and analyze DPRs (onshore and offshore).

  • GWO offshore access and medically fit for offshore work.
  • Good working knowledge of lifting and marine operations standards.
  • Understanding of QHSE management principles.
  • Experience and/or qualification in construction, engineering, or marine operations.

  • Knowledge or proficiency in BIMCO & FIDIC contracts is advantageous but not essential.

Airswift is seeking an Offshore Installation Manager for an initial 14-month contract with a leading company in the wind energy industry, based in London, Connecticut.

This role will be part of the core WTG installation team. The primary responsibility is to manage load-out operations in Connecticut, including:
