You will be the voice of the market internally and the voice of Ocado Ads externally, ensuring our proposition is compelling, differentiated, and poised for aggressive growth.

What You’ll Do

Proposition & Product Strategy

  • Define Value Proposition: Own the end-to-end definition and compelling articulation of the Ocado Ads value proposition from brand to performance, powered by insights. This will encompass on-site media, off-site media, and Beet data and insights platform.
  • Data Monetisation: Develop and package proprietary Ocado first-party data assets into marketable, privacy-compliant, and high-value audience and measurement solutions for brand partners.

Go-to-Market (GTM) Leadership

  • Launch Strategy: Design and execute the Go-to-Market strategy for all new and enhanced media and data products, ensuring successful launches across buyers, media specialists, media account managers and Ad Ops teams.
  • Sales Enablement: Develop best-in-class GTM assets, including sales narratives, pitch decks, case studies, one-sheets, and competitive intelligence to equip the Sales team for maximum success.
  • Internal Alignment: Serve as the central communication hub, aligning Commercial, Media sales and Customer to ensure a cohesive and consistent market message and delivery capability.
  • Thought Leadership: Act as a key spokesperson and subject matter expert for Ocado Ads' data and media capabilities, presenting at industry events, client meetings, and internal forums. Primary owner of the internal sales training and upskilling programmes for Retail Media and Beet.

Market & Competitive Intelligence

  • Competitive Landscape: Continuously monitor the retail media, ad tech, and data-as-a-service landscape to identify new opportunities, competitive threats, and best-in-class solutions.
  • Performance Analysis: Partner with the Analytics team to establish and monitor proposition performance metrics (e.g., adoption rate, revenue per product, client satisfaction) to inform continuous iteration and improvement.
  • Client Insights: Gather in-depth feedback from key advertisers, agencies, and the Sales team to ensure the proposition remains relevant and addresses evolving client needs.
  • Training and development of internal teams

Who You Are

  • Retail Media Expertise (3+ years): Significant, proven experience in a Proposition, Product Marketing, or Go-to-Market role within a Retail Media Network (RMN), an Ad Tech platform, or a leading CPG/Agency focused on RMNs.
  • Data Commercialisation: Deep understanding and hands-on experience in packaging and selling first-party retail data, audience segments, and measurement/attribution solutions.
  • GTM Execution: Proven track record of successfully launching complex digital advertising or data products from concept to commercial scale.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong strategic planning, financial modelling, and business case development skills, with an ability to link product features to commercial value and revenue targets.
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively engage and align senior leaders and cross-functional teams (Product, Sales, Engineering, Legal).
