Summary: The Nursery Manager will be the founding leader of a new 110-place Busy Bees nursery in Guernsey, responsible for its successful opening and long-term operation. This role involves building a passionate team, shaping the nursery's culture, and delivering high-quality early education. The manager will work closely with the community and ensure compliance with local regulations while promoting a child-led learning approach. This position offers a unique opportunity to create a new centre from scratch with full support from the Busy Bees organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the successful opening and long-term operation of the nursery
- Set a tone of warmth, trust, and high standards from day one
- Ensure compliance with EYFS and Guernsey’s local regulatory frameworks
- Partner with parents, professionals, and the wider island community
- Inspire your team to deliver best-in-class care, education, and support
- Collaborate with senior leaders across Busy Bees UK to deliver excellence
Key Skills:
- A Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
- Minimum 2 years’ experience managing or deputy managing a nursery setting
- A genuine passion for building and leading teams
- A strong knowledge of EYFS and commitment to child-led learning
- Ambition to create a new centre culture from scratch
- Leadership that balances kindness, high expectations, and joy
