Network Test Engineer (SC Cleared)

Summary: The Network Test Engineer role requires an individual with active SC Security Clearance to support a critical national infrastructure network connectivity transformation programme. The position involves testing network infrastructure components such as Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls, and creating test scripts based on detailed designs. The role is hybrid, allowing for a mix of remote work and office presence in Newbury. The contract duration is six months, with a focus on delivering high-quality testing outcomes for a large-scale telecoms project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support a Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) network connectivity transformation programme.
• Create test scripts from Test Plans and Low Level Designs for network infrastructure.
• Utilize Cisco Switch/Router console commands and set up network test equipment for RFC 2544 testing.
• Handle fibre optic cabling and manage test cases, including execution evidence and defect management in ALM.
• Use StableNet Network and Service Management tools.
• Interpret network infrastructure design from HLD/LLD and understand Data Centre operating procedures.
• Preferred experience in the Telecoms/National Network Infrastructure domain.

Key Skills:

• Active SC Security Clearance.
• Experience in network infrastructure testing, specifically with Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Proficiency in RFC 2544 testing and network connectivity testing.
• Ability to create test scripts from Test Plans and Low Level Designs.
