Summary: My client is looking for an experienced Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and secure complex network infrastructures with a focus on stability and scalability. The role involves handling network security tasks and delivering security projects, particularly during critical transition phases. This is a hybrid position with occasional site travel, and the contract is for 12 months with potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle business-as-usual (BAU) network security tasks, including Firewall policy management and routing filter updates
  • Support and deliver security projects such as inbound/outbound SSL decryption, Web Application Firewalls (WAF), and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) implementations
  • Configure and manage on-premises and cloud-based WAF solutions
  • Deploy and fine-tune DLP and DDoS protection services
  • Lead automation efforts within the Firewall infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
  • Work with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Git to automate and manage network security configurations

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience with Palo Alto Networks technologies, including Firewalls, GlobalProtect, SSL decryption, and DLP
  • Hands-on expertise with Fortinet and Juniper Routers/Firewalls
  • Solid understanding of network automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
  • Proficiency with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Git

My client is seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer to join their team. You'll play a key role in designing, implementing, and securing complex network infrastructure, with a strong focus on maintaining stability and scalability - especially during critical transition and integration phases.

Contract Details:

  • Duration: 12 months (with strong potential for extension)
  • Day Rate: £450 - £500 Per Day
  • IR35 Status: Inside IR35
  • Location: Remote (Occasional site travel)
  • Start Date: ASAP
