Summary: The role of Network Engineer involves leading critical infrastructure modernization initiatives for a local government client. The position requires a strong background in network design and expertise in various networking technologies and standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in public sector environments and be capable of producing high-level and low-level design documentation. This is an interim position focused on enhancing network capabilities and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead critical infrastructure modernization initiatives.
- Act as a Network Design Authority in complex public sector environments.
- Produce HLD and LLD documentation for enterprise-grade deployments.
- Manage VPN architecture and RF optimization.
- Implement policy management and Wi-Fi security hardening across multi-site estates.
- Ensure secure connectivity and boundary design in Azure networking (IaaS).
- Adhere to compliance and security standards in public sector ICT environments.
