Summary: The NEC Housing Systems Trainer will support a major Housing Systems Transformation Programme by designing and delivering training for the NEC Housing system. This role is crucial for ensuring staff are prepared for new technology and processes, particularly during key go-live phases. The trainer will create engaging materials and provide support to users throughout the implementation. The position requires strong experience in housing systems and digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive training programmes for NEC Housing system users
- Deliver training across key modules, including: Assets, Housing Advice, Customer Services, Support Services, Go-Mobile (Assets, Housing Management), NEC Document Management (DM)
- Create engaging learning materials such as user guides, quick reference tools, and e-learning content
- Deliver training sessions both face-to-face and virtually to a wide range of stakeholders
- Support user adoption during system rollout and post go-live phases
- Collaborate with project teams and subject matter experts to ensure training aligns with business processes
- Provide floor-walking support and hands-on assistance during implementation phases
- Gather user feedback and continuously improve training delivery and materials
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of NEC Housing functionality and module updates
Key Skills:
- Proven experience delivering systems training within housing, local government, or a similar environment
- Strong working knowledge of NEC Housing Solution across multiple modules
- Experience supporting large-scale system implementations or transformation programmes
- Ability to conduct training needs analysis
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to engage users with varying levels of digital confidence
- Experience creating clear, user-friendly training materials
- Understanding of end-to-end housing processes (e.g. asset management, housing advice, tenant support services)
- Experience delivering training on Assets, Housing Advice, Support Services, and/or mobile working solutions
- Experience with mobile workforce solutions (e.g. Go-Mobile)
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Knowledge of change management and user adoption methodologies
