Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer role is a 12-month contract position based in Bristol, focusing on ensuring manufacturing processes meet design specifications and promoting a culture of quality. The engineer will be responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes while utilizing data analysis to enhance capabilities. The position requires a strong background in machining processes and problem-solving skills, along with knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that manufacturing processes are capable of achieving and sustaining the design definition.
  • Promote a culture of zero defects and ensure that digital systems are developed and deployed.
  • Implement Right First-Time manufacturing, guaranteeing product quality and conformity.
  • Develop, implement, validate, maintain, and continuously improve manufacturing processes.
  • Capture, analyse and use data to demonstrate and improve the current and future capability of manufacturing processes.

Key Skills:

  • Professionally Qualified Engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes (laser, grinding, milling and EDM).
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proven track record in technical problem-solving, along with a solid understanding of Six Sigma / Lean methodologies.
  • Proficiency with manufacturing systems such as CAPP, MES, SAP.
  • Knowledge of coating processes (plating, thermal spray and vapour deposition) is desirable.

Salary: £49.35ph, DOE (Umbrella)

Location: Bristol

As a Manufacturing Engineer you will be doing:

  • Ensure that manufacturing processes are capable of achieving and sustaining the design definition
