Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer role is a 12-month contract position based in Bristol, focusing on ensuring manufacturing processes meet design specifications and promoting a culture of quality. The engineer will be responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes while utilizing data analysis to enhance capabilities. A strong background in machining processes and problem-solving is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that manufacturing processes are capable of achieving and sustaining the design definition.
- Promote a culture of zero defects and ensure that digital systems are developed and deployed.
- Implement, validate, maintain, and continuously improve manufacturing processes.
- Capture, analyze, and use data to demonstrate and improve the current and future capability of manufacturing processes.
Key Skills:
- Professionally Qualified Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes (laser, grinding, milling, and EDM).
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proven track record in technical problem-solving with a solid understanding of Six Sigma / Lean methodologies.
- Proficiency with manufacturing systems such as CAPP, MES, SAP.
- Knowledge of coating processes (plating, thermal spray, and vapor deposition) is desirable.

As a Manufacturing Engineer you will be doing:

- Develop, implement, validate, maintain and continuously improve manufacturing processes
