We are seeking an experienced Logistics planner with specialisation in the Material Flow and/or Supply Chain & Packaging planning activities. Demonstrable success in the fast-paced world of global supply chain management gained within the automotive or aerospace industries will be of special interest. Responsible for the design and implementation of robust processes and the management and procurement of the logistics structures and equipment required to deliver those robust processes. Grounded in the now with a clear view of the future, delivering change and innovation in an environment of continuous improvement. Working in our logistics planning team with cross functional relationships across new product launch, future projects and bespoke customer individualisation teams.
Key Accountabilities:
Project planning for new part and process introduction with high complexity.
Planning of external and internal material flows from supplier to point of assembly using methods and tools of value stream design.
Establishing layouts for logistical structure elements such as block storage, supermarkets, internal transport routes and lay out optimisations.
Planning of equipment such as racking, internal transport systems and handling devices.
Developing returnable packaging concepts for parts and components.
Tendering and procurement of equipment and packaging.
Cost evaluation of process change impact on transport, handling and head count.
Decision making based on analysis and visualisation of data.
Utilising problem-solving techniques to assess and improve product and processes.
Cross functional liaison with external suppliers and internal process partners in planning, production and purchasing.
Regular communication with production related functions in physical logistics and manufacturing.
Close collaboration with company network locally and internationally.
Alignment with logistics service providers to achieve company standards
Skills & Qualifications
Degree level or relevant professional experience.
Formal demonstrable qualification and training in logistics planning
Excellent knowledge of logistics processes.
Ability to analysis and evaluate data.
Knowledge of SAP, MS Office tools, Power BI & VBA coding are advantageous
Experienced in time management and priority setting
Excellent communication skills, ability to influence at all levels of the business.
German language skills highly advantageous.
