Detailed Description From Employer:

Lead Full Stack Engineer (.NET/React/AWS)
£650/day (Inside IR35)
Manchester (Hybrid - 1-2 days per week)
6 Month Contract

We're working with a large-scale, technology-led business investing heavily in a greenfield cloud-native platform build, and they're looking for a hands-on Lead Full Stack Engineer to play a key role in shaping the platform from the ground up.

React is central to the user experience, and you'll be operating across the wider platform, working closely with .NET Back End services, cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and engineering teams to deliver scalable systems end-to-end.

What you'll be doing:

  • Building and scaling a modern React/Next.js application at the core of the platform
  • Contributing to micro-Front End architecture (Module Federation)
  • Working closely with Back End engineers on API design, data flow, and system integration
  • Developing and integrating with .NET/C# Back End services
  • Contributing to Infrastructure as Code and deployment automation using Terraform
  • Deploying and supporting applications within AWS (CloudFront, S3, etc.)
  • Designing performant, scalable user experiences for a high-traffic platform
  • Staying hands-on while contributing to technical direction within your squad

What they're looking for:
  • Strong experience with React/Next.js in production environments
  • Solid exposure to .NET/C# Back End development (APIs, services, integrations)
  • Experience working within micro-Front End architectures or similar scalable Front End patterns
  • Strong AWS experience across deployment, infrastructure, and cloud services
  • Experience with Terraform/Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Strong grasp of API-driven architecture and Front End/Back End interaction
  • Experience building scalable, high-performance platforms
  • Comfortable operating as a senior, hands-on engineer within a product-led team

The environment:
  • Greenfield build - no Legacy constraints, built properly from day one
  • Modern engineering practices across Front End and Back End
  • Product-led squads with high ownership and autonomy
  • Platform being built at genuine scale, not a side project

If you're an engineer who enjoys owning the Front End experience while understanding and contributing to the Back End platform, this is a strong opportunity to get involved in something meaningful from the start.
