Summary: The Interim Financial Controller will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations and controls for a creative media business during a period of growth. Reporting to the CFO, the position involves managing the finance function comprehensively, including statutory reporting and cash flow forecasting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commercial mindset and technical expertise, thriving in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the month-end close and producing consolidated management and financial accounts
- Overseeing statutory reporting and regulatory compliance (UK GAAP/IFRS)
- Managing cash flow, working capital, and forecasting processes
- Developing and improving financial controls, systems, and procedures
- Business partnering with senior stakeholders across editorial, production, and commercial functions
Key Skills:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with significant post-qualification experience
- Prior experience as a Financial Controller, ideally within media, creative, or content-driven industries
- Excellent technical accounting knowledge and strong attention to detail
- Previous exposure to ERP systems (experience with NetSuite or Sage highly desirable)
