Summary: The Infrastructure Systems Administrator & Engineer will provide 2nd and 3rd line support for internal infrastructure, focusing on both on-premises and cloud environments. The role involves maintaining, securing, and improving infrastructure while executing regular maintenance tasks. Candidates must be within an hour's commute of Cambridge and will work in a hybrid model, spending three days in the office. Adaptability and ownership of additional duties are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Triaging 2nd line infrastructure support tickets and project requests
- Monitoring, triaging, and resolving infrastructure and application system issues
- Scheduled and manual systems maintenance, support, monitoring, audit, and reporting
- Backup management, vulnerability remediation, and configuration management
Key Skills:
- Active Directory, Azure, MS365 suite, Hyper-V, RDS, AWS, MFA, SSO, Identity & Access Management
- Linux Operating Systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL)
- Incident, change, and problem management (including 3rd parties)
- Process-driven ITSM tooling (Jira, ServiceNow or similar)

- Providing Infrastructure's internal 2nd/3rd line support service.
- Maintaining, securing & improving both on-prem and cloud Infrastructure's.
- Scheduling & executing regular maintenance tasks.
Hybrid Role with 3 days based in Cambridge
