Summary: The HR Advisor role is a temporary position based in Maldon, Essex, requiring an experienced professional to provide support during a busy period. The successful candidate will deliver practical HR advice and manage employee relations while contributing to organizational initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative HR team and make an immediate impact. The position is hybrid, requiring two days on-site each week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing first-line and complex HR advice on employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, conduct, and absence management
- Ensuring consistent application of HR policies and procedures, promoting fairness and best practice
- Building strong working relationships with managers and stakeholders at all levels
- Supporting recruitment and selection processes, advising managers to ensure compliance with required standards
- Maintaining accurate HR records and confidently using HR data and systems
- Contributing to organisational change and change management activity
- Supporting safeguarding requirements, including DBS processes (desirable)
- Assisting with HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance systems, processes, and employee experience
Key Skills:
- Able to start assignment within 1-2 weeks
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards)
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Proven experience managing complex employee relations casework
- Confidence working in a hybrid environment with regular on-site presence

The Role You will act as a trusted HR partner, delivering high-quality, practical advice across a broad range of HR activity. The role will involve hands-on employee relations work alongside support for wider organisational initiatives.
