Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and issue HR documentation, including contracts and exit letters.
- Maintain accurate records of pre-employment checks and employee data.
- Coordinate induction schedules and training with recruitment and learning teams.
- Monitor and update HR policies for compliance with employment law.
- Manage the central HR inbox and provide office team support as needed.
- Process payroll inputs and provide monthly payroll reports.
- Administer employee benefits platforms and respond to related queries.
- Guide employees and managers on HR system usage and resolve queries.
- Assist in formal procedures such as investigations and grievances.
- Contribute to employee engagement activities and HR projects.

You’ll be a key point of contact for employees and managers, delivering proactive, solution focused HR support across the business. Job Specification
HR Administration & Compliance
- Prepare and issue all key HR documentation, including but not limited to contracts of employment, variations, exit letters and probation letters.
- Carry out and maintain accurate records of all pre-employment checks including references, DBS and fitness and propriety.
- Liaise with the Recruitment and Learning & Development teams to coordinate induction schedules and align training with business needs.
- Maintain all elements of employee records and ensure data accuracy across all platforms.
- Monitor and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment law and best practice.
- Act as a point of contact for all first aid and fire safety responsibilities, coordinating training and ensuring compliance.
- Manage all regulatory records.
- Manage the central HR inbox and distribute emails where relevant.
- Provide support to the office team where required.
Payroll Support
- Manage and process all inputs to the HR system with accurate information to ensure the proper integration of data into payroll.
- Provide accurate monthly reports that will contribute toward payroll processing.
- Support with the distribution of payroll documents to employees on leave or leavers.
- Support with administering the pension scheme with total accuracy.
- Support with the annual preparation and reporting of relevant payroll documents such as P11Ds and P60’s.
Employee Benefits & Systems
- Become an expert in and manage all employee benefits platforms and systems.
- Be the point of contact for employees with any benefits related queries.
- Liaise with and build relationships with external providers who facilitate and provide all employee benefits.
Employee Relations & Support
- Guide employees and managers on the use of the internal HR system, ensuring queries are resolved and processes run smoothly.
- Provide managers and leaders with advice on all HR matters.
- Execute administrative support and assistance in formal procedures including investigations, disciplinaries and grievances.
- Deliver HR data and insight to managers to inform decision-making.
Engagement and Projects
- Contribute to employee engagement activities and ad hoc HR projects.
- Assist with internal initiatives, including the creation and production of branded materials and employee communications.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and compliant working environment.
Skills & Experience
- Ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and discretion.
- Good use of initiative and thinking outside of the box.
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role covering the full employee lifecycle.
- Sound knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience in advising on and resolving employee relations issues.
- Confident using HR related systems and platforms.
- Competent in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- CIPD Level 3 (or above) or equivalent experience would be preferred.
